There are three types of undergraduate nursing program. Some nursing programs offer students B.Sc degrees in Nursing, known as BSN degrees. These nursing programs are like standard baccalaureate programs. Other nursing programs offer students associate degrees in nursing, also known as ADNs. The third type of nursing program is one that offers a certificate or a diploma degree. Nursing programs that offer BSN degrees are offered by colleges with nursing programs. BSN is a 4-years Program.
Nursing programs that offer ADN degrees, will often take less time than BSN degree, as ADN programs are offered by junior colleges or community colleges. ADN programs can take two to three years. Nursing programs that offer diplomas are offered by hospitals. These nursing programs take three years time. Diploma nursing programs are much less common than either BSN degree or ADN degree.
B. Sc. (N)
The minimum age for admission is 17 years as on the year of admission.
Education: 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
Students appearing in an Intermediate examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
Student shall be admitted once in a year.
Post Basic B. Sc. (N)
Passed the Senior Secondary or Intermediate or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.
Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and also registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained shall produce evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing
Community Health Nursing
M. Sc. (N)
The applicant should be a Registered Nurse and Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
The Minimum education required to be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
The candidate should have a degree in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Minimum one year of work experience required after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Minimum one-year work experience is required prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
