The main courses in Pharmacy include 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), 4 years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), 2 years Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and Ph.D. Research Programmes. At the Bachelor level, there is no specialization. At masters level (M Pharm) specialization available are, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering etc. And after M.Pharm students can opt for the Ph.D. programme in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Marketing & Management.
The regulatory body for the program is Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), responsible for laying down all norms and regulations for the B.Pharma course.
